*Effects of Abandoning Sins*

Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) mentioned:

“Glorified be Allah, Lord of the entire of the creation. If the next had been the one advantages from abandoning sins and disobedience [they would suffice]:

The upkeep of decency, the safety of honor and the preservation of dignity. The safeguarding of wealth, which Allah has made a provision for the advantages of this world and the Hereafter. The creation’s love for such an individual and their acceptance of him. An excellent life, rest of the physique, energy of the guts, serenity of the soul, softness of the guts and happiness.

Safety from the terrorization of the depraved and the sinners. Lack of despair, nervousness and sorrow. Self-respect which prevents tolerance of humiliation. It protects the sunshine of the guts from being extinguished by the darkness of disobedience. An escape from that which brings anguish to the depraved and the sinners. Sustenance is made straightforward for him from avenues that he would by no means think about.

Things which are tough for the folks of disobedience and sin are made straightforward. Righteous deeds are made straightforward for him. Knowledge is simplified for the person. Praise among the many folks. A variety of supplication is made for him. The magnificence acquired by his face. The respect for him positioned within the hearts of the folks. Them supporting and serving to him if he’s wronged and harmed.

[The fact that] they defend his honor when the backbiter backbites him. The velocity with which his supplication is answered. The disappearance of alienization between him and Allāh. The closeness of the angels. The distance of the devils of mankind and the Jinn from him. The folks competing to help him and fulfil his wants. Their request for his affection and companionship.

Him not fearing demise; slightly, he’s delighted with it as a result of he’s going to His Lord, to fulfill Him and to his vacation spot, which will probably be with Him. The insignificance of the world in his coronary heart and significance of the Hereafter to him. His masking the prized dominion [i.e. Paradise] and supreme success there.

Tasting the sweetness of obedience and the sweetness of religion. The bearers of the Throne and the angels round it supplicating for him. The [fact that the] scribes are delighted with him and supplicate for him always. The development of his mind, understanding, religion and information.

His attainment of Allah ‘s love. Allāh nurturing him, and Him being delighted together with his repentance. This is how Allāh recompenses the servant with delight and pleasure, and there’s no share of His delight nor pleasure for disobedience, in any manner in any way.

These are among the results, on this world, for abandoning disobedience.

When the servant dies, the angels meet him with glad tidings of Paradise from his Lord and that there is no such thing as a concern nor disappointment upon him. He travels from the jail of this world and its confinement to a backyard from the gardens of Paradise, the place he’ll expertise bliss till the Day of Resurrection.

On the Day of Resurrection, the folks will probably be in warmth and sweat, and he will probably be below the shade of the Throne. When they depart from earlier than Allah, he will probably be taken on the Right together with the pious Awliya of Allah and His profitable celebration.

*…ذٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ يُؤۡتِيۡهِ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ ذُو الۡفَضۡلِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ…*

*”That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.” [Al-Hadid: 21]”* [Al-Fawa’id, p. 224-225]
