And Allaah (ﷻ) says within the subsequent Ayah enjoining man to be variety to his mother and father;
.
وَوَصَّيۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ حَمَلَتۡهُ أُمُّهُۥ وَهۡنًا عَلَىٰ وَهۡنٍ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ فِى عَامَيۡنِ أَنِ ٱشۡكُرۡ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَيۡكَ إِلَىَّ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
.
And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his mother and father. His mom carried him, [increasing her] in weak point upon weak point, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your mother and father; to Me is the [final] vacation spot.

(Luqman 31:14)

It is an obligation upon man to be variety to his mother and father in all circumstances. A mom suffers pains and discomfort to deliver her youngster to life, after that, she sacrifices her time to the upbringing and coaching of the kid and the daddy additionally stands by the mom by way of all of the stress and gives the wants of each the mom and youngster; these are sufficient causes to be respectful and dutiful in the direction of the mother and father. And this instructions respect from each youngster to his mom.

If you don’t fulfil the rights of Allaah (ﷻ) by being grateful to Him (ﷻ) and being dutiful to your mother and father, it is a nice warning!
.
فِى عَامَيۡنِ أَنِ ٱشۡكُرۡ لِي وَلِوَٰلِدَيۡكَ إِلَىَّ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
.
Be grateful to Me and to your mother and father; to Me is the [final] vacation spot
.
This is just like the ayah
.
وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُ وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰنًاۚ إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ ٱلْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَآ أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا
.
And your Lord has decreed that you simply not worship besides Him, and to folks, good remedy. Whether one or each of them attain previous age [while] with you, say to not them [so much as], “uff,” and don’t repel them however converse to them a noble phrase.

(Al-Isra’ 17:23)

May Allaah (ﷻ) preserve us firmly upon the reality.

آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِين
